iRest Yoga Nidra

It encourages self-inquiry through guided attention to what emerges in contemplation of intention, heartfelt desire or purpose, inner resource, the body, emotions, thoughts and beliefs—and most importantly—Awareness of all these things as objects in Awareness.

It is not passive but proactive, using the natural emergence of opposites as a way to deepen self-inquiry and arrive at new integrations. iRest Yoga Nidra is a practice that increases our capacity to be at ease with ourselves and our world. I find it to be a perfect complement to both Somatic Experiencing ® and physical therapy.
